Hummanaya blow hole is the second largest blow hole in the world and the only know blow hole in Sri Lanka.  The blow hole is created by narrow fracture in the middle of trough. The waves gush in and go through the hole. When the pressure is high enough it can create a stunning spray. While the Blow hole can be visited year round the water pressure is higher when the seas are rough which is mainly during the monsoon. However, it is worth a trip to go and see this natural spectacle.
